Easter Bunnies & Chicks

These adorable cinnabunnies and chicks with mini nests are the easiest (and yummiest) activity to do with the kiddos for Easter! All it takes are a few packs of our GF Cinnamon Rolls and whatever decorating supplies you already have. Get ready to have a hopping good time 🐰

Ingredients:

  • 2 Packs GoodLove Cinnamon Rolls (thawed)
  • 1 Jar Cream Cheese Frosting (we like Duncan Hines)
  • Decorating Supplies (get creative & use whatever you have on hand!)
    • Pastel Colored M&Ms
    • Peeps Bunnies
    • Rainbow Sprinkles
    • Colorful Edible Glitter (we used yellow and green)
    • Candy Eyes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. The first pack you will make into the cute bunnies and it's very easy! Simply unroll the cinnamon roll about half way, and while still intact, shape the unrolled side into two bunny ears. It's ok if the dough cracks or breaks. You can squish it back together. See photos below for more detail. Do the same process for all 6 rolls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  3. Next, just add the other pack of cinnamon rolls to the baking sheet as is. These will become your chicks and nests.
  4. Since these are already thawed, you'll need to reduce the baking time. For a nice golden brown, bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, then cool thoroughly before adding the decorations.
  5. Now for the fun part! Start by first frosting all of your bunnies and cinnamon rolls. Since we are using colorful toppings, we kept the frosting white. If you want, have fun with the frosting colors too!
  6. For the bunnies, we added a few candy eyes and then a pink M&M for the nose. We then topped a few with rainbow sprinkles.
  7. For the chicks, we also added little candy eyes, then used a yellow M&M as the beak. Lastly, we sprinkled the chicks with yellow edible glitter.
  8. For the nests, we sprinkled it first with green edible glitter and topped it all off with  5 or so M&Ms to act as the "eggs."
  9. Once you have all of the Easter cuties decorated, you can plate them. We used a robin's egg blue pan as the base. Then we had fun placing all of the elements together. For that extra special touch, we added some Peeps bunnies and a few more pastel M&Ms to make it festive.
  10. But the best part of it all? Eating your creations! Enjoy 🧡

Tips👇

⭐ There are SO MANY decorative options to choose from. Peruse the easter candy aisle or find whatever you already have on hand in your pantry. It's always a good idea to double check that the ingredients are gluten-free, too. Have fun and enjoy the process 🐥
