Cinnamon Roll Donut Holes
What's more nostalgic than fresh & warm cinnamony donut holes?! This classic treat uses our popular GF Cinnamon Rolls to create crispy on the outside and soft on the inside donut holes perfect for breakfast or an anytime snack. Here at GoodLove, we're obsessed with these poppable donut bites and we're sure you will be too. Give 'em a try today!
What you'll need:
1 Pack GoodLove Cinnamon Rolls with Icing (defrosted)
20oz of Frying Oil (corn or vegetable)
1 Cup White Sugar
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
Instructions:
- Heat frying oil to 350° in a large sauce pan.
- First, place your defrosted cinnamon rolls on a cutting board and slice each one into about 4 equal sections. Feel free to make them larger or smaller! Then, using a little bit of non-stick spray on your hands, roll each section into a ball. Pour your icing packet into a small bowl for dipping later.
- Next, it's almost time to fry! Make sure to have one bowl with the white sugar and one with the powered sugar ready to dust your finished donut holes.
- Test your frying oil first with 1 donut hole. The dough should rise to the top quickly and turn golden & crispy in about 1 to 2 minutes. After testing, start frying the balls in batches of 5 or 6. When done, let them drain for a few minutes on a pan lined with paper towels.
- Now it's time to roll in sugar! After they've drained, roll them in whatever sugar you prefer. Have fun with the seasonings too! Add more cinnamon, cardamom or even ginger to the sugar to spice things up.
- For the final decadent touch, dip the donut holes in the icing.
- Enjoy :)
