Apple Pecan Tart

Recipe from the CEO, Chennelle Diong

What you’ll need:

• 1 GoodLove Puff Pastry Pack (2 sheets)

• Daddy’s Homemade Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup

• 4 tablespoons of butter

• 2 Apples of your choice

• Pecan & Brown Sugar Topping

• Juice from 1 lime

• Cinnamon

1️⃣ Start by sautéing up your thinly sliced apples with 4 tablespoons of butter for about 5 minutes. Then add your cinnamon, lime juice, and of course, a few tablespoons of Daddy’s Homemade Syrup.

2️⃣ Cook down until the sauce is bubbly and the apples are soft and golden.

3️⃣ Prep your puff pastry sheets by trimming the edges with a sharp knife just a tiny bit (this will create a better puff! Then roll them out to about 1/8 thick and score a smaller rectangle on the inside.

4️⃣ Grab your apples slices and layer them how you like on the sheets. There will be a yummy sauce of butter and syrup left in the pan … add 1/4 cup of GF flour, 1/2 cup of chopped pecans, and 1/4 cup brown sugar, and mixed together with your fingers to make the topping. Sprinkle all over the apples.

5️⃣ Pop the tarts in your oven at a HOT 450 degrees and bake for about 20 minutes. The pecan topping will become toasted and the puff pastry will be flaky and delicious.

6️⃣ Let cool .. if you can stand it! And enjoy as is or add a heaping scoop of your fave vanilla ice cream!
