Valentines Heart Cinnamon Rolls

So simply sweet! These heart-shaped cinnamon rolls are the easiest way to say "I Love You" for your next V-Day surprise. Make these for your S.O. or plan this as an activity at your Galantine's party. It's the perfect kitschy desert that screams XOXOXOXO. Just shape, bake, and decorate. It's that easy. Even the kids can participate!

Ingredients:
- 1 Pack GoodLove Cinnamon Rolls thawed
- 4 oz softened cream cheese
- ¼ cup softened butter
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- Food Coloring (red, purple, etc.)
- Supernatural® sprinkles for decorating
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Unroll a cinnamon roll until about an inch of the center is left rolled up. Take the other end, and begin rolling it back into a spiral, until the spiral is about the same size of the center spiral of the original cinnamon roll. These two spirals will be the round parts of the top of the heart. Press these spirals to touch. Then, pinch the center of the bottom to create the point of the heart.
- Add your heart shaped cinnamon rolls to a parchment lined pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 22 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the icing. To a mixing bowl, add the softened butter and cream cheese. Then add the packet of GoodLove icing. Add ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix the ingredients together with a stand mixer or electric mixer until smooth.
- Next, add the powdered sugar ½ a cup at a time, mixing in between additions until the mixture is smooth.
- From here, you can separate your icing to make different colors. We made a batch of pink, purple, and kept some white. Simply mix a few drops of food coloring to the icing and stir until evenly combined. You can store your icing in the fridge covered with plastic wrap until you are ready to ice the cinnamon roll hearts.
- When your cinnamon rolls are finished cooking, remove them from the oven and let them cool. You don’t want them too hot, otherwise your icing will melt while decorating.
- To decorate, fill a piping bag with your desired icing. Decorate your cinnamon roll hearts Valentines Style. Don’t forget to add your fave Supernatural® sprinkles for added flare!
- Enjoy!

Tips👇
⭐ Adding some groovy details to your baked goods should be fun and not scary! Always double check your ingredients are gluten-free. Sprinkles & food coloring can be sneaky and you always want to be safe when dealing with celiac disease and/or allergies. That's why we use Supernatural® sprinkles and dyes for decorating.

⭐ Make sure your icing is stiff for easy application and design. If you need to add more than 2 cups of powdered sugar to make the icing more stiff, do so by adding a few tablespoons at a time. Notice, the more powdered sugar, the sweeter your icing. So, add to taste.
⭐ Don’t be afraid to really pinch the bottom point of your hearts. To make sure the bottom of your cinnamon rolls don’t round out in the oven, carefully apply pressure until it forms a triangle at the bottom. If you are still having trouble getting the shape to stick, apply a small amount of egg wash to the area to stick the sides together when pinching.

⭐ Make sure your cinnamon rolls aren’t too hot! We know its V-Day and the feelings of love are toasty, but make sure to give your rolls time to cool before decorating. Otherwise, you’ll have a melty rainbow of a mess.

⭐ To make pink colored icing, just add a few drops of red food coloring to your white icing. You can adjust the pigment by adding less or more drops. Remember, the more red you add, the redder the final icing will be. Start slowly and add more white icing to tone down the color if needed. We always recommend reserving some white icing on the side, just in case. Checkout this icing color guide for more color tips!
