Puff Pastry Pizza Bites

Everyone loves pizza! But sometimes all we want is a bite (or two) of the good stuff. If you want pizza in hand-held form, this recipe is for you! Just defrost our GF All-Butter Puff Pastry and fill it with classic pizza toppings and you're good to go. This is the perfect recipe for those fall get-togethers. Trust - everyone will love these!

What you'll need:

1 Pack GoodLove All-Butter Puff Pastry (defrosted)

Pepperoni (diced)

Pizza Sauce (we love Classico), plus extra for dipping

Shredded Mozzarella

Aged Parmesan

Pizza Seasoning (our fave is Ocean State Pepper Co)

Diced Green Onion for garnish

Egg wash or water

And a little olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees
  2. With your defrosted (but still cold!) puff pastry dough, roll each sheet out to about double the original size. Cut 6 squares out of each puff pastry sheet.
  3. Next, just fill and seal! I like to brush one side of the puff square with either egg wash or water before adding the filling. Then add a teaspoon of pizza sauce, a pinch of mozzarella and a some of the diced pepperoni. To seal, just fold into a triangle. Press down with your fingers first, ensuring there is not too much extra space inside the pizza bite. Finally, using a fork crimp in the edges nice and tight.
  4. After placing the pizza bites on a parchment lined baking sheet, it's time to brush them with either olive oil, or more of the egg wash. Finally, dust the tops with pizza seasoning and some aged parmesan.
  5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until puff, golden, and irresistible! To plate these up for your guests, add more of the pizza sauce to bowl with a spoon in case anyone wants to get more saucy! Lastly, garnish your plate with diced green onion. It adds good flavor but it's also a nice pop of color.
  6. Enjoy :)
