Journey to GFCO - a letter from our CEO

 

 

Dear GFFs,

This year has been... well, an absolute whirlwind, which, doesn't even begin to cover it! As many of you know, our appearance on Shark Tank in March of 2025 sent demand for our beloved gluten-free goodies into the stratosphere. In just two days, we received the equivalent of a full year's worth of D2C orders! While exhilarating, it also stretched our small, handmade operation to its absolute limits.

And here's the honest truth. During this time, we weren't just hustling to make and ship your fave biscuits and cinnamon rolls ... we were simultaneously embarking on an intense, 8-month journey to become GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization) Certified.

For me, as a co-founder and the product developer, this wasn't just another box to check. It's a deeply personal mission. Growing up in a Filipino-American home where food is truly a love language, and then seeing my partner navigate the daily challenges of Celiac Disease; I decided to found GoodLove Foods. My goal and brand promise is to spread genuine "love & acceptance with every bite," especially for those with dietary restrictions. This certification is the ultimate validation of that promise.

The process was rigorous. It meant meticulously updating every single procedure, validating every cleaning protocol, and ensuring our entire facility, from ingredient receiving to final packaging, met GFCO's stringent standards. Doing this while managing a sudden, massive surge in orders? Honestly, there were days it felt like we just wanted to give up. But our dedication and loyalty to our amazing customers kept driving us forward.

Your patience during these extended shipping times has not gone unnoticed. In fact, it has been the fuel that kept us going. Knowing that you, our incredible community, trust us and is willing to wait for the quality we promise, meant everything. We couldn't "officially" explain the full scope of our behind-the-scenes efforts until now, and for that, we appreciate your understanding.

The GFCO Certification is a huge step toward our ultimate goal: becoming a grocery store staple, making truly delicious gluten-free food accessible to everyone, and continuing to destigmatize what it means to be "gluten-free."

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!  The best is yet to come, and it's all made with love (and now, a shiny new GFCO seal)!
